The Sunday New York Times considered the recently-unveiled Harvard Arts Museums among a host of new or newly-expanded campus institutions bridging art, community and academia. One other example of doing it right: the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts, designed by Tod Williams and Billie Tsien (2013 Senior Loeb Scholars) in partnership with Theaster Gates's (LF '11) Washington Park Arts Incubator and other city institutions. As Gates wrote in an email to the Times, these collaborations create "cultural wealth" for the community.
