The Right Question: Class Day Speaker Rick Lowe

A defining moment can be as simple as the right question. When a high school student challenged Rick Lowe (LF ’02) to show solutions instead of problems in his art, it set Lowe on the path to conceiving Project Row Houses, his signature accomplishment. In that spirit, in his class day speech on Wednesday, he asked graduating GSD students to think about “how we assign value and how we uncover value in individuals and society,” and he challenged them to exercise and hone their craft “in ways that have meaning in society.” Read more in Harvard Magazine.
