Pulitzer Prize-winning Chicago Tribune architecture critic Blair Kamin spent a lot of time last year hanging out with 2013 Loeb Fellows during his Nieman Fellowship at Harvard. When Kamin wasn’t enjoying the company and creativity of such Loebs as Jim Lasko, Karen Lee Bar-Sinai, Helen Marriage, and Ed Walker, he found time to edit and co-write a new e-book, The Gates of Harvard Yard, that uses the latest digital technology to illuminate the art, architecture and history of Yard’s 25 gates. The Harvard Gazette tells the full story of the e-book, now available for purchase. Proceeds will go to a fund for journalism innovation at the Nieman Foundation.
