National Endowment for the Arts chairman Rocco Landesman was wowed by the arts environment in Chattanooga, TN, during his September visit. He participated in a community conversation about public art and placemaking, moderated by Ann Coulter (LF 2004), whom he credited with the facilitation that made for a great discussion. In his keynote at the Arts Education Partnership national forum the following day, Landesman called for more rigorous research to support the case for the transformative role of the arts in education.
