Principles of Ethical Redevelopment

At the University of Chicago Place Lab, close examination of Theaster Gates’s (LF '11) work on Chicago’s South Side is yielding a set of Principles of Ethical Redevelopment for “shifting the value system from conventional financial and development practices to conscientious interventions in the urban context.” For the next year, Place Lab will be bringing together people engaged in fortifying communities, for salons and convenings to strengthen and share the framework for creative community solutions.
