Photo Essay: the Loeb Library Special Collections

On Friday, September 6, Inés Zalduendo, special collections archivist at the Frances Loeb Library, gave this year’s class of fellows a tour of the collections. She had read up on our interests in advance, and highlighted three themes: parks, housing and agitators.

 

It was great for the Loebs to be introduced to special collections early on, as several have expressed interest in curating exhibitions within the library, and others saw materials related to their research interests. The images above are some of the publications and archive materials she selected.

    A visit to Kahn’s Exeter Library ought to be a station on the cross for every architect as should Carpenter Center – an even greater work of architecture.
