New Design Competition: Play Everywhere Challenge, by 5/31

HUD’s Office of Community Planning and Development has launched the Play Everywhere Challenge, a $1 million design competition to generate innovative ideas for expanding opportunities for play throughout communities’ built environments.  From May 3 through May 31, government entities, nonprofit organizations, collaborative networks, and individuals may submit competition designs that integrate play into everyday life in unexpected places: sidewalks, vacant lots, bus stops, laundromats, service offices, open streets, and beyond.

HUD created the challenge with the nonprofit KaBOOM!, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Target, and Playworld.
