Loeb Video Profile: LaShawn Hoffman

LaShawn Hoffman loves a bargain. So for every activity he undertakes with the Pittsburgh Community Improvement Association in Atlanta–safety, affordable housing, commercial development, get out the vote–he looks for the multiplier effect. His initiatives have fostered youth leadership, linked families with each other and with resources, greened the community, preserved history and assisted residents to take charge of their future. By his standards the Loeb Fellowship is a grand bargain: a wealth of knowledge, colleagues and ideas available all day, every day. Hear him talk about his work and Loeb year in his Video Profile.

The Loeb Fellowship initiated the Video Profiles project in 2012 to enable current Loeb Fellows to tell their stories, what motivates them and how the Fellowship has been meaningful for their work. Maggie Janik, GSD Multimedia Producer, and Joanne Nerenberg, Loeb Affiliate ‘12, are directing the project.
