Life in the Parks: Rolf Diamant comments

Rolf Diamant (LF '86), longtime superintendent in the National Park Service, sees much to applaud in how the park system has been growing and adapting to the admittedly significant challenges it faces today. He examines a case study of “useful experimentation and innovation,” the Presidio in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. The lessons he extracts are instructive for other parks and important for the Presidio itself to keep in view as it reviews proposals for a new cultural institution on Crissy Field.
