Ken Kalfus Scores a Sweet Retreat

Dora Maar HouseAuthor and Loeb affiliate ’12 Ken Kalfus (Inga Saffron’s husband) got an early holiday gift: he’ll be part of the Brown Foundation Fellows Program at the Dora Maar House in Ménerbes, France, in March.

During the residency, Kalfus will be working on his fourth novel while waiting the advance reviews of Coup de Foudre: A Novella and Stories, which comes out in May. When the Brown Foundation Fellows present their work at the Dora Maar House "salon," Kalfus is likely to read from some of his work that’s been translated into French. Not a bad way to escape the doldrums of the Northeast winter.
