In the continuing effort to enhance the public playground that is the shoreline of Lake Michigan and to use it as a “laboratory for architectural experimentation,” the Chicago Architecture Biennial, Chicago Park District and the City of Chicago have announced the Lakefront Kiosk Competition. The winning competition entry will be exhibited at the Chicago Architecture Biennial from October 2015 through January 2016, along with 3 additional structures designed by architects in collaboration with local architecture students. In the spring the four kiosks will be installed on the lakefront. Submission deadline is March 23, 2015. Learn more and apply.
