Intimate Marine Life of San Francisco Bay: 6/30 Lunchtime Event

Join C. Sarah Cohen, marine biologist and associate professor at SFSU; Denise King, exhibit developer at the Exploratorium; and Ruth Wallen, visual artist from Goddard College, for a lunchtime conversation about the underwater community of the Bay. The event is free - RSVP requested - and will be on Saturday, June 30 from 11:30am - 2pm on Pier 17, SF Embarcadero at Green Street.

Susan Schwartzenberg (Loeb Fellow 1999) extends the invitation:
As the Exploratorium prepares for its move to Piers 15 and 17, please come for an intimate view of the marine life of San Francisco Bay. Spend an afternoon in conversation with three researchers who are exploring the science, art and politics of data collection and interpretation. Explore the unique perspectives of scientist, artist and exhibit developer as they collaborate to research, share knowledge, and represent dynamic but often unseen living systems within the Bay. You’ll get a preview of the live marine invertebrates and plant life currently under study at the Exploratorium’s new waterfront location.

This program is funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation

Free - please RSVP by June 26
