Mike Houck (LF ’04) is the editor–along with Ian Douglas, David Goode and Rusong Wang–of the recently released The Routledge Handbook of Urban Ecology, which examines this biodiversity and offers guidelines to harness its ecosystem services to make urban areas healthier and more enjoyable.
