Grounds for Neighborhood Comity: Damon Rich in Philly

An exhibition that opened last week at the Mural Arts Philadelphia gallery showcases Damon Rich’s (LF ’07) politically savvy, community conscious approach to planning the renovation of Mifflin Square Park in South Philly. Rich’s design studio Hector was brought in by local groups with the charge to ensure that the new park will strengthen community rather than reinforce battle lines in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the city.

Inga Saffron covers the story in “Designing Mifflin Square Park to unite a diverse ethnic neighborhood,” and Next City has it too: “Taking an Investigative Approach to Park Design.”
