Ed Walker’s on a Mission

Ed WalkerThe small city of Roanoke, VA, made a splash in the New York Times yesterday because of the accomplishments of incoming Loeb Fellow Ed Walker, onetime outsider art dealer, lawyer, commercial developer, and civic revitalization engine. Not only has Walker energetically renovated and reused a cluster of historic properties, he’s initiated the (soon to be annual) CityWorks (X)po, billed as “big ideas for small cities,”  to share a blueprint for placemaking.
