Join Sasaki Associates for a concluding reception celebrating Echoes of the City, an exhibition about the making of Janet Echelman's (LF ‘08) As If It Were Already Here, her sculpture adorning the Boston Greenway. The exhibit has been presented by a partnership of Sasaki, Studio Echelman and the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy.
When: Thursday, September 17, 5:30–8:00 pm
Where: Sasaki Associates, 64 Pleasant Street, Watertown, Massachusetts
RSVP by September 11 to Diana Fang, email@example.com, 617.923.7171
The event will include remarks by Echelman as well as by Laura Jasinski, director of programs and planning for the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, and Julie Burros, Boston’s chief of arts and culture.
As If It Were Already Here will still be in place during the Loeb 45th Anniversary and Alumni Weekend, October 22-24. The reviews of Echelman’s work have been giddy, and many commentators see the sculpture as a sign that Boston’s Greenway is maturing and the city is shedding its stodgy image.
