For his Doebele Fellowship, Andrés Quinche (MUP, MLA '19) has been working with the District of Columbia Office of Planning’s Urban Design team on several projects, one of which is exploring the historical significance and impact of building projections and architectural articulations. The research will inform the argument for the continued importance of these architectural features and need for regulation. Quinche is also working on a pedestrian study in the neighborhood of Anacostia, and several weeks ago presented design proposals for a new LGBTQ commemorative park for Whitman-Walker Health.
