David Kamp’s (LF ’96) firm Dirtworks received two 2013 Landscape Architecture Awards for Healthcare Environments. The Acute Care Bronze Award went to Estelle’s Garden, a restorative rooftop project at Danbury Hospital, and the Senior Living Silver Award recognized Camphill Ghent Elder Care Initiative, which previously won the ASLA N.Y. Honor Award. The awards were given by the Vendome Group, collaborating with the Center for Health Design and the Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments.
Donna Paglia of the Vendome Group said, "I was impressed how the landscape designs of Camphill Ghent and Estelle’s Garden really work to support the goal of creating manageable and meaningful spaces for the users while allowing them to engage with the natural environment.”
