The Design Trust for Public Space has announced its new Equitable Public Space Fellowship for a recent graduate. The Design Trust, a nonprofit headed by Susan Chin (LF ’00) and dedicated to the future of public space, brings together city agencies, community groups and private sector experts to make a lasting impact–through design–on how New Yorkers live, work, and play.
The Fellowship is a new program to enable emerging practitioners to gain broad experience in the field and contribute meaningfully to projects while receiving mentorship and hands-on professional development. Through this new program, the Design Trust also seeks to advance the conversation about diversity in the field and create a model for bringing more voices, skill sets, and life experiences into the practice of design for public space. Outstanding candidates who are entrepreneurial and passionate about NYC’s shared spaces and transforming the city’s landscape need apply! The deadline is midnight on April 13.
