The Shenzhen Urban Management Bureau has issued an open international call for plans to develop a public municipal park at the site of the former Agricultural Center in Futian District, China. Stage I proposals are due June 19.
The park, tentatively named Xiangmi, is envisioned as a site of culture, recreation and leisure, with an agricultural science & flower exhibition facility and some retail spaces.
Stage Ⅰ of the competition calls for an overall conceptual plan and design strategies, with awards for the top 10 teams. The top 5 competitors will be invited to submit Stage Ⅱ plans for design of the landscape and architectural features of the park.
