Cynthia Davidson Wins Arts and Letters Award

Congratulations are due Cynthia Davidson (LF '89), who is being honored by the American Academy of Arts and Letters with one of the 2 Arts and Letters awards made annually to people who "who explore ideas in architecture through any medium of expression." Winners are chosen from a group nominated by Academy members by a selection committee that included 2013 Senior Loeb Scholars Billie Tsien and Tod Williams.

Davidson isdirector of the nonprofit Anyone Corporation, an architecture "think tank" that produces conferences, conversations, a magazine, and books on architecture design, theory, history and criticism. Her journals Any and Log revolutionized critical architectural journalism. She was recently at the GSD, giving a keynote lecture for the What Criticism? symposium and meeting with Women in Design.
