Lonni Tanner (LF ’08) was Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s chief change officer in the NYC Department of Design and Construction, focussed on restoring dignity for the city’s vulnerable residents in their encounters with the city’s social service centers. The Department of Probation liked her style of “crazy,” and was rewarded with some shiny new “un-probation centers.” She allowed Arcade to publish her diary from that effort.
