Ann Beha Wins AIA Honor Award

Ann Beha Wins AIA Honor Award

The Cambridge Public Library, designed by William Rawn Associates with Ann Beha (LF ’88), is among the buildings selected this year for the AIA’s Honor Awards for Architecture. The jury called it “the perfect marriage of old and new:” the original 1889 Romanesque has been renovated and supplemented by a striking glass structure that is the “civic heart of the community.” Plus the groundbreaking thermal curtain wall is efficient and beautiful.

Also cited in the 2015 outstanding architecture category is the Le Frak Center in Brooklyn’s Lakeside Prospect Park, designed by Billie Tsien and Tod Williams (2013 Senior Loeb Scholars) with deep respect for its Olmstead surroundings.
