In these days of heightened awareness and higher stakes for refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants, it is good to hear from people who understand the experiences of displaced persons, and Alessandro Petti and his wife Sandi Hilal are in demand.

Petti will be at MIT for
Workshop–The Architecture of Refugees: the Question of Ethics, where he’ll present Architecture of Exile: The Permanent Temporariness of Refugee Camps.

Petti and Hilal will be among the artists attempting to decode What is an Artistic Practice of Human Rights? at a two day summit at the Gray Center for Arts and Inquiry at University of Chicago.
